charlie
its a little while ago and most of you might already know but it keeps spinning
in my head since i heard about it.
charlie cooper, 50% of telefon tel aviv, died january 22nd.
TTA has been a great influence for me and i was lucky enough to become friends with
them and to work on stuff together.
charlie was not only a great musician - he was a great person as well.
not much more to say. he leaves a void in the musical world which is so full of crap.
and i´m so sorry for the people in whos lives he leaves a void

Stuck in the studio
Long time no news!
Apparat is currently not leaving the studio working on an album with Modeselektor. Its gonna take a while but we are sure its worth waiting for. There are still a few concerts scheduled in the meantime so if you have the chance come and see a show!

Apparat Band
There has been always a difference between my "rave" liveshows and my mellow records. I am into the "rave" thing and thats why i play more dancy on dancefloors.
Nevertheless, i think this album should be played live and thats why i started the Apparat band. The band sets will be lot more mellow - they will be concerts. Raz Ohara is joining me playing the stage piano and Jörg Waehner hits the drums. We will be on tour in europe after the summer.
I just want to make sure - for those who saw one of the first band shows and wondered what happened to apparat - in the future i will play BOTH - the raveshow and the concert. "Apparat" will be rave and "Apparat Band" will be a concert.

Whoa! The releaseparty in berlin was the s**t. We got over 1600 people to the volksbuehne. Thanks for aaalll of you people coming to see us and thanks to all of my friends to perform!
